The cruise lines are cancelling visits to ports in Mexico because of the Swine Flu, i.e. Cozumel, Cabo, P.V.. Had Celebrity made any announcements yet?

Hi Calgon old friend... well, they can always dump them overboard.. Somebody said it was old news, but I just noticed on the main page four ships are "sick"..

Was just in Cozumel , Costa Maya, Belize and Roatan last week and never heard anything from anyone regarding the swine flu, mad cow disease, foot and mouth disease, etc. or anything else. Did hear on the T.V. that a Celebrity ship ( Mercury I think ) in Europe had a few hundred sick but not from the swine flu--noro-like symptoms.

We saw Carnival ships, NCL, RCCL, Princess and Celebrity everywhere we went so if their canceling, they must have forgotten to tell the ships captains last week.
Methinks someone may has dredged up some old news.

Must have been from last year. We just returned from our swine flu II cruise on the Mexican Riviera in February because our last cruise there was diverted to Mexifornia because of last years outbreak. Mexico is currently in full swing on both sides.

I think you must have been reading some posts of last year.
This year tourism is back again and there are no flu cases reported.
Although cruiselines cancelled cruises to Mexico last year, on the Mexican Rivera there were even then no flu patients....

It was definitely last year that the ships skipped Mexico in the spring -- we were caught in the mess. We were on a 21 day repositioning cruise from Ft Lauderdale to Seattle and we missed all 4 Mexican ports because of the Swine Flu.
