Caribbean Glaze Poppy Seed Cake

Baked in a Pam Sprayed Bundt or Angel Food Tin

(poppy seeds are dirt cheap at Dollar stores)..

Bake at 350 Degrees..pre-heat oven..

in one large mixing size bowl..

3 cups flour
2 1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 1/8th cup Vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 1/2 almond teaspoon extract
1 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring extract
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder(last ingredient)..

I mix all the things at once... really whip them..then add the baking powder..incorporate well..pour into Angel food/Bundt pan..bake one hour

Caribbean Glaze topping -on top of stove in saucepan..
2/3rds cup sugar
1/3 rd cup pineapple juice
1/3rd cup Sunny D or Orange juice
add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon butter flavor extract

heat till bubble-boil for 2 minutes..

paint with pastry brush on top and sides of cooled cake serve...enjoy!!..Joanne

just as a BTW..Butter Flavor extract is in any grocer spice/baking aisle.and at Super *CANNOT* substitute and use melted better.. it does not work..the whole glaze is ruined..:(...Joanne
