The as-yet-unnamed 2,974-passenger vessel, is scheduled for delivery in late fall 2005, approximately 14 months after the delivery of the third "Conquest-class" vessel, Carnival Valor. Yep! Carnival Liberty.

    I love headbanging cruisegirl! :wave

Ok..as for the delivery of the now, newer Carnival ships, Carnival Spirit, and Carnival Pride was delivered in 01.. Carnival Legend was delivered in 02. August to be exact. Finally Carnival Miracle was delivered in 03. Miracle made a miraculous entry into Florida passing under a bridge and having the top of the winged funnel missing the bridge by 6 feet only.

I agree and it's about time Carnival is SAILIING other waters besides the Caribbean.

Lets' see. Oh yea! I love headbanging!! WHEW! CM sails from NY from june 19 right through August 8.

    High five to ya!! :thumb

Many ships cannot come to tampa due to the sunshine skyway bridge. They had to change the stacks to make them fit,I stood on deck going under it . Looks so close.

Wow! That must have been something to watch! My last cruise on Voyager out of Bayonne, the Master announced that the top of Voyagers stacks will have a clearance of 16 feet while going under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.

Coming in, he announced a clearence of 10 feet. DUCK!! :lol

I watched a wonderful documentory on the building of Queen Mary 2. One of the things they had consider was her height. Only because of this one bridge in the world. Right here in NYC. I stood 10 feet away from here as I was able to tour her. I was able to do this being I'm a stock holder with Carnival, but you just can't imagine just how incredibly massive she is. It would have been astonishing if she were taller.

I think 2 Classes were actually forgotten about. I kinda looked but didn't see em listed, but maybe I over looked them. Or maybe I'm wrong, but I think there are actually 6 different classes?

    1.) Fantasy
    2.) Destiny
    3.) Spirit
    4.) Conquest

    5.) Holiday and...
    6.) Triumph

Maybe thats why you felt like you were forgetting a class LOL? anyway....

    Happy Cruising!=whiteflag

I have to check positively if I am indeed missing a class vessel.

There is a "Fantasy Class." Being there is a ship named for each class, there is a Carnival Fantasy.

Destiny Class: will include the Carnival Destiny and Carnival Triumph.

What's getting me here is the Carnival Holiday. I want to say Fantasy Class, but I won't just yet!

    Thx Kim! :thumb

The Carnival Triumph is a Destiny class ship.

oh, it doesn't look like it from according to this website I was at. Destiny is in a class of its own,,alone.

    According to cruise-carnival.net :

    >>The Carnival Triumph class of ships include the Carnival Triumph and the Carnival Victory. Both these ships are 893 feet long, 101,509 tons, sail at 21 knots, carry up to 2,758 passengers and 1,100 staff and crew. <<

    see this website:

    That site is totally wrong.

The Destiny is in a classy of it's own. The Triumph and the Victory have an extra deck.
