Cheap Beach Excursions in Nassau

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum so I hope I'm posting this in the right spot. In 36 days my husband and I will be traveling to the Bahamas on the Norwegian Sky. We will be stopping at Grand Bahama, Nassau, and Stirrup Cay. We've never been to the Grand Bahama Island or Stirrup Cay so that is exciting. However, we have been to Nassau three times in the past. We've visited all of the historic locations so we are looking for a nice relaxing beach excursion. Does anyone know of some hotels that allow you to use their beach for cheap. Also, any that include any extra perks would be great! We love Atlantis, but we just don't have the money for that kind of excursion this time. We have a new little one at home so we need to save as much as possible! Thanks in advance!

We have done the day trip to Breezes Bahamas All-Inclusive Resort at Cable Beach on three visits to Nassau. I believe some cruise lines offer it as an excursion with transportation. You can also purchase it directly through Breezes. I'm not sure of the cost (T/A's get in free) but when you consider that all food and drinks are included it is a good deal. They have Hobie catamarans you can take for a spin, a nice pool and jacuzzi and other things to do. They have locker rooms with showers so you can change clothes right there. The conch fritters at the pool bar are awesome!

Cable Beach is the best beach on New Providence island in my opinion. It is about $10 each way in a taxi. It is a public beach where most of the resorts are located. There are lots of locals renting jet skis, banana boat rides, parasailing etc. so you could do it "on your own" for pretty cheap.

We did the four night cruise on Norwegian Sky a few years ago and had a great time. My review is posted in the Reviews section.

Enjoy! :beach:

Been to Blackbeard Cay few times in Nassau.
Did like the beach there.
Nice catamaran trip to the beach from the port.
This shore excursion was pretty cheap in price.

Going to Junkanoo Beach makes the most sense since it's just a short walk, and there are little stalls that sell drinks. You could even walk further down, along the water, to Fish Fry (also known as Arawak Cay) where there is a strip of small restaurants where you can get conch salad, fried fish, and other native dishes.

Another beach option is to just walk into the Hilton, go straight to the back where there is an exit that leads to the beach. I've done it before, not being a hotel guest, and it was fine.
