We have booked the Dawn Princess for a 10 day cruise in the Caribbean in Feb. We booked our flight separately and on the return had only one choice of time for the flight which is 12:30 p.m. Will we have enough time to get to the airport to catch our flight if we let the cruise know in advance that we need to get off the ship as soon as possible? Has anyone had this experience?

I have not needed to catch a flight that early, but many others have. I don't think it will be a problem, Princess asks for your flight information ahead of time (even if its independent) and Im sure they take this into consideration when assigning the colors for disembarkation. The only problem will be if there is a immigrations hold up, or something like that, which is immpossible to predict. Good luck!

I agree with Natalia - you should be fine UNLESS immigration is delayed or the ship arrives back to the port late. If either happens, make sure you make your departure anxiety known to someone with the ships crew.

If you have extra luggage tags, you may want to tag your bags twice. We could have gotten an earlier flight back home, had Princess not lost the tag off our bag and caused us to wait an extra hour for them to retrieve it from the lost & found area.
I do not think you will have any trouble catching your flight. Princess off loads passengers and bags by the priority you give them when you fill out your disembark forms which will be given to you on the ship during the cruise.

We have a similar problem (actually I hope it's not a problem). We are flying out of Vancouver on a 12:00 p.m. flight. I hope we make it!

    Thanks for your input.

I also heard that you can disembark yourself and take your luggage off the ship yourself without having to put in out the door at night. My travel agent said that they had to do that and they got off the ship a lot quicker. Have you heard of that too?
