Did you know that COSTCO pharmacy will fill your pet's prescriptions?

I just found this out! Kiefer was born with arthritis, and it's starting to get bad. I heard that COSTCO did this, so I went in yesterday and registered Kiefer. They consider your dog a dependent (sure wish the IRS did!) and eligible to get medicine from them. You don't have to be a member to get medicine from Costco, but if you are, your dogs get a further discount!

His vet called in the prescription today for his pain killers. I'll be picking up tomorrow.

Thanks Charles. It's hard to see him limping at only 5 yrs old. But this will sure help the pocket book, since it's maintenance for the rest of his life.

Yes, I learnded about that when Buck developed heart disease....his Rx was 1/4 of the price through Costco and I was surprised that it was my vet that told me!

Even though we don't have any pets -- that is good information.

We don't have a Costco anywhere near us or I would tell a couple of our neighbors about this as they have dogs.

Sorry to hear that Kiefer has arthritis.

When our akita was fighting a lung tumor, he was on a controled narcotic to battle the cough and the pain. We used to get his script filled at the local supermarket.

Will have to keep Costco in mind just in case.

I know that Walgreens will fill prescriptions that animals take if they are also human meds. Don't think they carry vet meds, but they might by now.
