Yup! Lost my weekly $20... broke even one day or ahead and then blew my $5 the next day... does that make you sad for me?
We've travelled HAL lately and won't go to the older ships now that we've had a taste of the Tamarind..how about you? Do you still like the older ships after you've tried a novelty on the newer ones, whether it's ziplines, new specialty restos etc??
:whistle:we have had 2 entrees..the second one was a "mini" we split...
have you ever participated in the "make a drink" with the staff and won one??..
I have won the martini...it was an Appletini and yummo..
just as by the way...I was also picked many, many years ago as a " Hair model" for the french braids on Formal Night..I got a free do..the Salon ladies commandeered me as I had the longest hair on ship...hehehe...down to my bum...so they begged to have my hair for the demo...and I almost fell over when I found what the charge was...50.00 for a wash, dry, braid, and style... back in 1996..LOL..!!!
Not that I knew personally....but I am sure it has happened!! We did have a table for 8 in the dining room and a gentleman at our table had a stroke while eating dinner! He was taken off the ship in St. Thomas and I am glad to say he made a full recovery.
Have you ever had to cancel a cruise during the penalty period?
Yes, on our most recent cruise we sent the fish back to the kitchen, as it was spoiled. We'd had things we didn't like, but never something that was BAD before. The Maitre' d was uninterested in our complaint. Very strange!
Have you ever shut down a venue (bar, lounge, etc.)--been the only reason the staff had to hang around?
Only once -- when we were invited to dine with the captain (just once in over 140 cruises) -- all of us were the last ones out of the dining room. All the other tables had already cleaned up for the night.
