I've posted this topic in the past and it did well but since I just read a post about how Carnival reads this website often , I'm going to go ahead and post this again. There are not many things that Carnival doesn't do almost perfect in my opinion but if they could change one thing based on my last cruise I took with them on the Ecstasy it would have to be ....

Them offering more discounts for those that take more cruises with them instead of 1 past guest is the same as another that's taken 20 cruises with ccl . That just doesn't jive with me , they should understand that 5% of their passengers represent 30% of their business and therefore should pamper these guys a little more then the rest.

Your turn guys , if you could change one thing about CCL either on the ship or anything else , lets hear it...
  2. More lounge chairs during peak times (school breaks). Its sad that I have to get up at 7:00am and freeze out there till it warms up just to get a chair. I don't even sit by the pools, I go way in the back. But if you get out there at 9:00am or later forget it! You will never get a chair. Some of us found a little spot way up top and just laid our towles down on the HOT wood, it was not fun.

I think Carnival should offer lobster tails and steak every night in the dining room instead of just one night during the whole 7-day cruise. As much money as you spend on a cruise you should be able to get to eat things you dont eat everday at home.

I would remodel all the old ships (1999 and under) just like they did with the Celebration... She's BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

I'd tell them to offer discounts to good-looking single men in their forties.

-Randy (who, despite the name, is a female)
  6. I'd tell them to offer discounts to good-looking women in their thirties.

-Jeff (who, despite being married, still likes to look)

Not so many announcements advertising bingo, shopping talks etc.

They should sell liquor by the bottle to take to your cabin like Princess does.

Implement a past guest program similar to Princess and RCCI. Also, get rid of the salt water in the pools. Princess and HAL put fresh water in theirs; why not Carnival? I simply refuse to swim in a pool filled with salt water!

I would like for Carnival to have the Personal Choice dining like Princess has. I really like the fact of being able to eat what time I want.

Also, being Carnival owns Princess and others that it should be taken in to consideration how many cruises all together you have taken on any of their ships counted towards some discounts.

I agree with the personal choice dining I would LOVE that! Also I hate to have to get up early and save a chair , we get up early and sometimes lay our books and so forth on chairs to save them while we eat breakfast but I would rather not have to worry about it. BUT come to think about it I don't really worry tooooo much about anything on a cruise!!! So I guess I'm just full of it!

Because their dinner meals are so great, I'd like for them to "borrow" some dessert recipes from Celebrity. Desserts that are served with REAL whipped cream are #1.

Also, a 4 o'clock tea with tiny sandwiches and aforementioned desserts available in the buffet area. I spent a week on the Legend without dessert because of this (butter pecan ice cream every night does not count!).

Being a Celebrity fan, I avoided Carnival, but after a week on the Legend, that is the only thing I missed!

Offer past guest parties on ALL cruises. Not just 5 or more days :(

  14. I'm going to respond to this even though I haven't taken my first cruise yet......My husband and I love the All inclusive resorts in Mexico and Jamaica. I wish that Carnival would at least offer a conceirge level that is all inclusive or at least a one price all inclusive drink card.....what do you all think?

I agree 110% with tinaparrotthead!!! Let me pay $100 up front for all my drinks in advance without having to purchase those drink coupons.

I agree, all inclusive drink card would be great...just like the soda cards, seperate purchase though, since some of us dont drink it wouldnt be fair to increase the cruise price.

you could have one for just beer, and one for mixed drinks...

Im all for it , im sure that the cruise line wouldnt lose that much money, unless poeple werent finifhing their drinks, usually whrn one has to pay for it it gets finished

Better activities for days at sea. I was bored out of my mind on the 7 day cruise while my wife and her sister laid out all morning. I'm not one to get into bingo games, or casino games, so more activites for the intravert! Not sure what kind of activities that would be, anyone have any ideas?
  18. More activities? Again, don't anyone get upset with me, but since this is going to be my first cruise, I was under the impression (was it wrong impression?) that there were tons of activities.....we don't gamble either and the hairy chest contest just doesn't seem to appeal to me either!! Are there pool tables and table tennis, etc. on board or is that saved for the kiddies?

tinaparrotthead - pool tables and table tennis is for anybody. I don't care about all those activities; my personal heaven is to lay on the lido deck, listen to the music or band, and PEOPLE WATCH. That's entertainement enough.
