March 11 - at sea. Good morning, my Friends. It's not yet 8:00am.. We've been turning back our clocks one hour for the past two nights - EXTRA sleep!

Beautiful sunshiny morning - calm seas. I'll be working today, then am invited to a cocktail get-together this evening. There's a BBQ on deck today (weather continuing to be good). For the Jewish guests on board, there's a Purim celebration later this morning.

More later - have a good day, @ll. =hug

Their BBQ are so wonderful. My mouth is watering as I type. I'm glad that the weather still is behaving.

I'm getting warmed up in more ways than one reading your adventures.....we fly out from this blustery cold in Toronto to FLL and on to Boca Raton for baseball camp for three days...then on to the Westerdam.......anyone you'd like me to say hello to? You must know all the staff on the Dam ships by now :) Of course, they might look at me funny if I ask them if they know Shipmaven.....or would they? Does anyone on land know you by that moniker?

Thank you, Mary Ann, for bringing me along. I can picture everything you're reporting... and it is far from boring. What a coincidence about your tablemate. That's amazing!

March 11 - at sea - continued

Had a few work projects today, but basically, it was a leisurely day. Ate breakfast and lunch in the Crystal Dining Room. I know many prefer buffets, but I like to sit and choose from a menu. For breakfast, I wanted smoked salmon and bagel - OK - lox and bagel. How was it served? Toasted bagel was on the side. The salmon was presented in two rosettes; cream cheese looked like a flower atop a piece of cucumber; capers were surrounding the salmon rosettes; thinly sliced onion was on the side. I thought to myself that only Crystal could make a work of art out of smoked salmon and bagel! I’m going to start bringing my camera with me!!! For lunch the presentations were equally artistic - and the fresh seafood was soooooo fresh.

I was invited to a private cocktail party earlier this evening. Several Officers popped in and left shortly afterwards. As it turned out, the Captain and I spent almost the entire length of the cocktail party chatting. Very interesting gentleman. He’s new to Crystal and I’m convinced they landed a prize in him!

Cannot complain about the casino today. Big Spender here is playing a penny slot machine. I continue to be ahead, and this machine has given me lots of play time - instead of the usual grab my money fast, feed me some more.

Time for dinner. I’m now composing off-line. I’ll be back later with another food report!

It’s later and now March 12.

Dinner in the Crystal Dining Room was another feast for the eyes and the stomach. Started off with a delicious shrimp and crab melange, and for my entrée, I followed our Head Steward’s suggestion of a broiled salmon on a bed of pureed spinach, caviar beurre blanc, a vegetable spring roll across the top - and I asked him to bring me one shrimp from another of the delectable entrees. He brought me two. For this meat-eater, I have yet to taste any meat since boarding on Monday!

Tomorrow will be a busy day for me as I host my Group at cocktails in the evening. The dress for tomorrow is semi-formal, yet there will be dining on the Lido Deck (weather permitting) for anyone who wants it. Seems to me that might be better suited for a casual night?

I now have a favorite slot machine in the casino, and it continues to give me lots of play time as well as being kind to me. My original bet on this penny machine has grown ten-fold.

I thank those who have replied for your kind comments. Yes, I am indeed enjoying myself immensely.

[size=x-large]:wave Wow, can you send me a doggy bag, (or maybe a kitty bag?)

Scoots is still hissing at Simon and me. Simon is glad to be home! The female Simon is still up for adoption. Ahhh, life as a furbaby Mama.

I know you are missing Pucci, but, try and have a good time anyway huh? :lol:lol

That's one of the things that I love about Crystal. They first give you a feast for your eyes and then you enjoy the wonderful flavor. Thank you for the continued postings. Were you able to attend the meet and greet from the other board?

You are making me hungry as well, and, now I want to go to a casino and play the penny slots. :lol We only were able to play the penny slots on the Jewel once, they were always tied up. We mostly had to play with the 2 cent slots and play 9 lines 2 bets per line...but we did okay.

Thank you for taking your time to give us your reports, I am enjoying them, and looking forward to them daily...keep up the good work!

My mouth is watering, and getting hungry. :) Enjoy the Cocktail party tonight. As for your sunny day yesterday, I was checking the Bridge Cam, and saw a small rainbow over the bow of the ship.
