    Good Afternoon All!!

So WHERE IS EVERYONE??? Must be entertaining GM by now!

GM: Hope you had a great flight.....have fun the next few days!!

SAN: How's the PAINTING coming along??

In the new house were you able to pick out the "PERFECT COLOR" that Nancy wanted so you don't have to RE-PAINT that place right away?? Sure hope so.

The temps are really nice here today. High about 78 with a cool breeze and sunny. A welcome RELIEF from those 95's we had!!

Enjoy your day folks. We're off to Canada as soon as Art gets home from playing cards w/the boys. Need to pick up his 2 suits that were getting altered.

    PH: Thanks for the update!!

We just got back from Windsor, Ontario. Lucked out going through the tunnel......NO back up!! Picked up the 2 suits and came right back home. Didn't get stopped at the border either. The border man just opened up the suit bags said "NICE SUITS" and said okay to move on!!

Buying clothes that are made in North America is a FAIR TRADE item and they can't charge us "Duty" on it. We also get the TAX back!!

Going to choir tonight. Need to practice special songs we will be singing at the Wedding this Sat.

    Later all......

    GM ......have fun with KC!!

Good morning. Just got back from breakfast with the guys.

Came home from Watsonville last night...had dinner with Matthew, Joseph, Angeline, Anthony and Angelia.....we ate at Mimi's. Checked out the new house on the way....the framing for the second story is all done and today they are putting up the roof trusses.....some of the siding is done.....so now it will look more like a house.

John just called....he passed his test for the Certification.

The only choice of colors for the interior walls is white, K2.....fine with us. We will do some painting after moving in, but not too much.

Glad that you guys had a good lunch......I think that that would be an excellent group.

Gotta get back to painting the bedroom.

San - Nice to see you taking a short break from painting to check in with us. Tell John congratulations from me. That's great news!
I bet you get all excited when you see the progress on the new house. I know we did every time we came down. I know what you mean about the white walls on the new house. They can thin it down and then spray it on the walls. We're in our house for over 2 years now and our walls are still white. I hate it! Can't believe that's the only color walls we've ever had. I so want color, but I'm afraid of choosing something wrong. I envy people who always pick the perfect colors!

Now get back to that painting. Nancy says you've been goofing off long enough!!!:)P)

SAN: Tell John a BIG CONGRATS on passing the CERT Test from me!! Way to go!!

It's good to let the house settle and get the NAIL POPS fixed first in a new house and then think about painting. 18 months is the warranty on Nail Pops getting fixed free here in our area.

BB: We have "COLOR" and I love it. Deep Tan in the hallway, Deep Hunter Green Blush in the Great Room and CRANBERRY RED in the Dining room. Oh and Terra Cotta in the spare bedroom. I love it. Took awhile to convience Art to paint that dark, but he loves it now too. And before anyone says it........THE COLORS DON'T MAKE IT LOOK DARK IN THE ROOMS. THEY MAKE THE ROOMS LOOK COZIER AND THE PAINTINGS AND FURNITURE LOOK SO MUCH BETTER. There is great depth with color that you don't get with white and beige or cream.

It just takes seeing or doing one room to give you the confidence to just do it. WE saw some Model homes and fell in love with the deep colors and then got the numbers of the paints from the cans that builders leave in the basement corners or in the hallway closets. Some builders actually told us the colors and numbers when we asked. And I have 3 sets of those Color Strips that painters have so that helps too.

I'm off to get a Body Wrap right now. The "Ladies on here will know all about that I'm sure!

    Later.

    Hi all.

    More congrats to John............thats super!!

We also have "color" on the walls......dark green....dark butterscotchy color in another.....brown....yellow....I would LOVE RED/......maybe when we redo Laurens room.....just will invest in several gallons of Kilz if we ever sell....speaking of my next door neighbor put a for sale out today....hes a realtor.....not sure if it is really for sale or not.......when he and his wife have a fight,he threatens to sell and move.......only difference with any of us "threatening",he can put the sign in the yard...they just spent a fortune redoing the inside, but the outside still looks like crap....I wish I could move.........this neighborhood has gone downhill.

Come on K2....I dont think you're being very nice to someone.......why not a cookie exchange???ahahahahahahahah----that was too funny......maybe you should "email her"

Another break.....painting in the bedroom, Vanity area, walk in closet and master bathroom is all done......just putting the bedroom back together so we can sleep tonight.

I may start on the hallway tomorrow.....or maybe Monday.

    What's Kilz, PH?

    PH8 Guest

Kilz is a primer I guess you can call it...........you use it to paint over dark colors, then you can paint with a lighter one....http://www.kilz.com/

Oh, OK, Primer.....I know what that is.

Everything is cleaned up.....John has a little over two hours of flight time left....over Colorado.....everything is under control, so Nancy and I are going to Sam's BBQ.....I deserve a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and I'm gonna get me one!

SAN: You deserve a "METAL" for all that painting and putting the stuff back so quick too! You do good work buddy. Too bad you didn't do it a few years ago so you could enjoy it a little longer!! :girly

PH: I had to make sure she didn't think I was serious about those cookies!! I wouldn't eat anything that woman made anyways!! Might have drugs in it.

KILZ......also is used to seal walls that have dampness or rust stains from water damage.
And PH.....I really don't think you'd have to paint everything light again before you sold your home. Most buyers want to re-paint used houses with their own color scheme anyways.

Some SSA is outside burning some AWFUL SMELLING WOOD tonight. I just had to close the bedroom windows or CHOKE!! And it's soooo nice out there right now. Bummer. Neighborhood fire burning should be banned. Fires are for camping out in the woods or open areas not where you live right next to each other. ^*_(*^$#

I'm out of here for tonight. Got to get my beauty sleep for tomorrows wedding.

It didn't really need painting, so we did enjoy the last paint job, K2.....it's just that it is better to have warmer, neutral colors when trying to attract buyers. It's true that they will probably repaint, but you have to get them attracted to the house if you want a good sale.

Yup.......you're absolutely Correct there SAN!! Now keep painting and stop taking so many breaks! Hee Hee. (just kidding)

    Morning..........

Hate to disagree with you K2,but I think one should paint white or light neutral colors before they sell..........our last house had color too(but nothing bold--lt blue in Matts room..yellow in Lauren)......the realtor suggested we just repaint everything white so we did......

Speaking of selling, the neighbors house is not for sale anymore......guess they made up.We never see them doing or going anywhere together........so I guess thats their kind of life..........

Have fun at the weddding today K2....and have fune painting San!! hehe

No plans for the day ....hope to get some pool time in....waiting on Dennis to get home..hes in Key largo now....
