Mosquitos onboard to Alaska?

A friend is heading July 8th to Alaska and was told that her kids won't enjoy the mosquitos that are a pest while sailing the waters.........has anyone else experienced this? Sounded odd to me as I thought the gentle sea breezes would shoo those nasty things away.

While I haven't been here in July the times that I have been there was no problem at all on the water(ship).

I'm certain that you are correct.

Now on land in some locations there will be a huge problem. It's just the way of the north. :)

We used to say they had Air Canada decals on their wings. over in AK likley they are connected to a US airline. :D

Port s and frequented area's are usually fine also.

I never came across this problem.
