Mizzou98 - checkout the Roll call forum on the cruise critic site. I recall seeing a roll call for March 13 on the WIND.

The last cruise (Celebrity) we were on, we must have been the youngest (mid 30's).
I think this cruise - based on its iternary will have a variety of age ranges.
But who cares...soak up the rays, the tequillas and just chill!

My wife and I were on the Wind last week and had a great time. As with just about anything in life, if you look hard enough for something to complain about, you can find it. This was not the nicest and newest ship that we have been on, but still very clean and easy to have a good time on. The entertainment was the best that we have seen at sea. The Jean Ann Ryan company was excellent, and the guest entertainers were really good as well. Jose and Patti in the Explorer's lounge kept us up late at night. We finished every night with them, I think that's what I miss the most!

Back to the original question on tipping, you can go to the reception desk and ask to have the tip adjusted. You have to fill out a form explaining why. We went and had ours cut in half ($70) and went and distributed the other $70 to a couple of waiters that we used multiple times and some extra to our Cabin Steward, who went above and beyond doing things like keeping our carry-on Coke on ice for us. To me, a gratuity should be at the discretion of the customer and I want to have some say in who my tip goes to. We left half of it in the pool so that those who served us but not as much would still get some as well.

Hey, Mizzou98, I'm assuming that's when you graduated... I graduated from Mizzou in '96!

Have a great time!

Yes, my husband and I were both MU graduates (he 1991 and me in 1998). Were you in a house? I was a Pi Phi and he a Beta. It is nice to run into fellow tigers! We will be sailing during the Big X11 tournament, and he is wondering if we would be able to catch the game (if we even make it!) on the ship. Anyone know???? We can't wait to set sail!!! This message board is great, and has answered a ton of "first cruise" questions for us.

9 days to go!!!!!!

My wife and I didn't go to Mizzou until after we were married, so we lived in an apartment just off of campus. She graduated in '98 as well. Small world!

Generally the only sports available is ESPN, so if they're on ESPN you will be able to see it either in your cabin or in the Sports Bar.

We just put a down payment on a Princess cruise for next September. We like to hit all the cruise lines but will definitely be back with NCL again in the future. We've been back less than a week, time to start the countdown clock again!
