Hey! I tried www.singlescruises.com and it worked!

You should check it out. I am actually telling my friends to check it out, I know how much I hated being single and the dating scene, so I should back down and leave these poor guys alone.

Mr Utley, thanks for the (creepy) compliment. I actually don't know how to post pictures on this site, but you know how all us women always think we don't look good enough so I'm glad you don't want to see my pic.

Well Jester, since you think you're an old man at 30, you might could take a cruise on one of the Celebrity ships and get yourself a gig being one of those guys who dances with the ladies! They have lots of rich women on those cruises who would be happy to be escorted by such an old man of 30! LOL

Our Cruise director this past week told us that Carnival is working on a "singles only" cruise.....I got the impression that if it worked well a ship would be specified for single cruises (like the Paradise was for non-smoking). He didn't elaborate...so I can't tell you anything more than to watch for news of Singles Only cruises.

I don't think they could afford to do that all the time, but they do have special cruise themes when large groups want to get together and put one together.

I know there is an all women's group called Olivia that books cruises on all different ships and lines for women only. Those cruises are usually pretty expensive because they book the whole ship and the price is shared by only the people on the cruise...so a cruise on one of the ships they book is pretty expensive if the whole ship is not booked.

I once booked and paid for a cruise on one of the Windjammer cruises and about a month prior to sailing they called to tell us that because there were only a few people booked on the cruise, they booked the rest of the ship to gay guys and I would be welcome to cruise with them but had to be informed that it was a gay cruise.

I wouldn't have minded cruising with a bunch of gay guys because they can be lots of fun, but they also changed the itinerary and so they gave me my money back and cancelled my res.

So, in conclusion, Jester, I'm glad we were able to help you out.

  7. Jester,

    This may help:

On our last Carnival cruise, the day we departed, my hubby and noticed a large group of people of various ages wearing T-shirts that said, "SinglesCruise.com." At first, we laughed at them. After a day, we wanted to sneak into their group because they seemed to all be having a blast! That was the first we ever saw of this, and there were people in various age groups. Go to the website: http://www.singlescruise.com and check it out. I think if you booked a cruise THIS way, you might have a lot more fun. Good luck, and don't give up on Carnival!

Go to Singlescruises. I called for my husband's best friend, they are very friendly and have plenty of dates to offer. Plus they do pre-cruise get togethers... YOu can attend one of these and see who is booked on your potential cruise...
