Patti shows us her chunk of salt. The guide tells us that chunks like that sell for $10 at stores in town…..

Our next stop is just a short distance away. These were the slave huts where the slaves that worked in the salt mines would stay each night. There would be around 6 to 8 slaves in each hut……

We were now going to backtrack and head north to the lookout point at Seru Largu. Passing through town, the van stops at a private residence to show us some flamingos in captivity. These flamingos are white because they aren’t eating shrimp, which is what gives them their usual pink color…..

For her starters, Patti had a shrimp cocktail and a Caesar’s salad. I had the corn fritters and an order of the BBQ pulled wild boar…..

Patti had the butter pecan ice cream and I had a banana split.

Afterwards we made our way to Punchliner’s to see the comedy of Steve Burr. It was a good show.

Tonight in the Taj Mahal was the comedy and hypnotism of Asad. Our friend Kris was one of those that were hypnotized. We wish we could have seen that!

Back to the cabin and tonight’s turndown service…..

    Here are today’s Fun Times……

I just want to tell you right up front that there were very few pictures taken today. I guess the camera was tired after two straight port days! [IMG]

We slept in today. It was partly cloudy outside, and the seas were choppy, but not as bad as the other day.

Patti put together three bags of laundry, then went to the Taj Mahal for the morning session of Bingo. (No luck).

I worked on pictures in the cabin for a while, then made my way up to the Red Frog Rum Bar to pay Winston a visit.

Patti came to collect me so we could enter the slot tournament in the casino. I made it onto the leader board in the 4th position, but it wouldn’t hold up…..

I played blackjack for an hour or so at two different tables with the same crappy results.

We stopped at chopsticks for some Asian food just before they closed for lunch.

After we finished eating we played LCR. There were 37 people in the game so it took quite a long time to finish. Of course I gave away my last dollar to the eventual winner!

We then sat down and played cards with Kris and Ken until it was time for them to go to dinner, then we made our way back to the cabin to relax before our dinner.

The sun is going down on another relaxing sea day…..
