I loved Half Moon Cay, actually I really liked all the private Islands we've been too.

Thanks again for another well narrated installment. The photos are gorgeous.

Hello again everybody! It's time for me to tell you about our final day at sea, our debarkation experience, and give you some final thoughts.

Ryan and I are sleeping in, but Patti got up, grabbed the camera, and took a lot of pictures of an obviously still sleeping ship. Here is the entrance to the Coconut Grove Bar and Grill.....

Patti caught up to me at the internet cafe, checking on emails…..

From here, we rounded up Ryan, and headed to the Sensation Dining Room for the Sea Day brunch. Just like the first time, we had another wonderful meal there…

Afterwards, Patti took Ryan down to the medical center for his final follow up, and then she went back to the cabin to begin packing. I went up to the Lido Bar for a few beers, and then I decided to help Patti pack.

Once back at the cabin, I found that our room steward “Russ”, had left the debarkation info and customs form for us. I guess this cruise is just about over, but I didn’t feel as bummed as usual, because I knew we would be boarding the Liberty in just three days.

It was now time to head to the casino for the 2nd slot tournament of the cruise. Once again, I failed to qualify for the finals, but Patti made the leader board again!!

This time she picked machine #6 for the final round….

Rooting for Patti in the finals…..

However, once again, Patti finished in 2nd place, earning her another seat in the Ultimate Blackjack Tournament. The casino host said that they couldn’t put a second one in her name, so they put it in mine. That’s how we wound up with the two entries.

    To be continued…..

After the slot tournament was over, I spent an hour or so playing blackjack, while Patti and Ryan went to the final bingo session of the cruise. It was time for the coverall jackpot.....

The winner gets to win or split $1,000. Ryan won the prize all by himself, and he proudly shows off his winning card.....

We then went back to the cabin to get ready for the VIFP party at 5:00. We took this picture of our room steward "Russ" in the hallway.....

This cruise, the VIFP party was held in the Putting on the Ritz Lounge. The party followed the usual pattern of some live music to start, drinks, and appetizers. Then the CD gave a little speech, acknowledged the Platinum cruisers, there were no Diamonds aboard, then showed a video of the ships, where everyone clapped when a ship they had been on was shown. Then the DJ played a few tunes, and in 45 minutes it was over, but the drinks kept flowing the whole time. Slip the waiter a buck or two, and you can order whatever drink you want. Live music.....

    Patti's rum punch.....

    My Absolute and cranberry.....

Tonight's dinner, especially the service, were once again great. I started off with the mushroom soup....

    Followed by tomatoes and mozzarella.....

I wanted to try the much maligned meat loaf, and I have to say that it wasn't that bad.....

I also ordered the seafood pasta.....

Patti had the French onion soup, tomatoes and mozzarella, and the grilled salmon. Ryan enjoyed his usual grilled chicken. All of a sudden, it was shot time!!

    Here's too another great cruise!!!

Tonight, the waiters were going to dance Gangham Style, and Ryan joined right in…..

Tonight we all enjoyed the Baked Alaska for dessert…..

Afterwards, we went to the Comedy Club one last time to watch James Sibley again, and he did not disappoint. After the show, we decided to call it a cruise, and went back to the cabin, where our final towel animal awaited us…..

The saddest sight, is seeing the luggage out in the hallway, because that means that your cruise is just about over…..

The next morning we awoke around 6:30, and stepping out onto the balcony, we could see we were approaching the Dames Point Bridge.....

    Sailing under the bridge.....

    We made it under again!!

We are almost back at Jaxport.....

It is now 7:30am, and we are docked.....

We had a couple of hours until we were to meet in the Sensation Dining Room for priority debarkation, so we made our way up to the Lido for our final omelet breakfast of this cruise.

We got to the Sensation Dining Room at 9:30, and just ten minutes later, we were escorted to the elevators, and sent down to Deck 3 to debark the ship. Once in the terminal, we easily found our bags, grabbed a porter, went through customs, and we were out the door in no time at all. It was a very easy debarkation. The porter took our bags to the car, loaded them up for us and we were on our way.....

Next stop: Port Canaveral and the Carnival Liberty!!!

We all loved our time on board the Carnival Fascination, and that includes Ryan, who went from injuring himself in Nassau, to winning $1,150 dollars at bingo!! Talk about highs and lows. The only comment that I wish to make that hasn't already been covered in this review, is that I truly believe that the Fascination, and any of the other Fantasy Class ships, are just perfect for the short 3, 4, or 5 day Bahamas cruises.

Think about this. When you are visiting Half Moon Cay or Little Stirrup Cay, would you rather share the island and tender with 2,400 fellow passengers, or with 3,500 passengers or more, that some of the larger ships bring in? I know what I prefer.

I hope you had as much fun reading this review, as I had writing it, and that it helped you decide if the Fascination is the right ship for you. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask away.

    Until next time.....Happy Sails!!!
