Sometime this year I have to take my Niece on a cruise (I know 'have to' isn't really how I feel :lol ) . I promised her when she was 3 that I would take her on a cruise when she turned 16 and the little lady remembers. June this year she turns 16
I've been so busy with that job I have to earn money to cruise that I haven't been posting much lately but I lurk, read and wish everyone the best.
Greetings all. I am new to this board. I've only cruised once...on a Carnival Cruise to Nowhere out of NY and I loved it! My husband has finally agreed to come on a cruise and my plan is to take the NCL Dawn out of NY to Florida and the Bahamas. I have questions, which I'll post separately.
I love on Long Island and longed to cruise for many years. We actually had a wonderful trip planned on Renaissance...Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Paris and Spain. Unfortunately they went out of business.
On the spur of the moment I decided I was going on a cruise last year...by myself if need be. My dear sisterinlaw wanted to come along and off we went. She's been on several cruises and was the perfect mentor for me. I still speak in awe of our first lunch at the buffet. Who in all of my beautiful NY had a better view than we did that day? The Queen Mary to one side, the Intrepid on the other side - now with a Concorde to boot, and the magnificent skyline of NY. (I'm really in love with the city...I can't hide it!)
I thank you for having this very nice thread...what a terrific idea.
I will hopefully learn how to put up nice pictures on my posts. But everyone has to start someplace.
