Please be assured of my prayers, as well. Having just been through something similar with a good friend, I know how devastating this is. Thank goodness it was caught soon and he is getting excellent care.

Thank you again for your prayers.

I received the heartbreaking news a short while ago that radiation treatments are starting today. Without treatment, he has 6 weeks. With treatments, 6-8 months. :bawl:

Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

Hugs Mary Ann. My prayers continue!

I hate it when a "sell by" date appears on anyone. We don't come with one stamped anywhere on our body and physicians, while they may have ideas, are not in the position to ordain these things either. It is all in the care of the Good Lord and miracles do happen!

Strength and courage to your dear friend and his family as they face this road together and to you and all his friends as well!

Oh, Mary Ann, that's certainly not the news we hoped for. Please remember that doctors offer only an opinion, and only the Lord knows when it's time. Here's hoping He dismisses the doctors predictions and takes your friend into His own hands to make him better.

Thank you. My own doctor today said exactly what you're saying - we don't know. Six + years ago, one of his patients had a general physical and his lungs were fine. A few months later, he came in with a cough and a tumor the size of a baseball was found in one lung. It was removed surgically, and this person is absolutely fine today.

    So, you never know.

Continuing thanks. My friend was discharged to go home last evening and is to begin radiation treatment today. I'll report as I receive any updates.

Again, sincere thanks for your prayers.

Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts - please keep them coming.

My friend had radiation treatments Friday and today, and will have - I believe - 13 or 14 more radiation treatments on weekdays, then start chemo. He'll have a PET Scan this week, which will determine just where the cancer is located in his body. He's putting his affairs, including his will, in order so it's obvious he's aware of his dismal prognosis.

My heart is just breaking for him, his wife and his family.

He took a short business trip to Mexico a few days before the seizures that caused him to fall last week out of the blue. What a blessing it didn't happen during that trip.

He and his wife are very appreciative of your prayers...as am I.

I am so sorry to hear this. But I do believe in the power of prayer and the power to fight things like this with your will. Where the will is strong, there is a way. Prayers his will is strong and he will fight this good fight.

Thank you, Glo. His will IS strong, and there are MANY who are praying for him. Let's hope that combination will create a miracle.

The power of prayers manifests itself again.

My friend had his PET Scan today, his medical team fearing the worst. There is cancer nowhere else in his body, thank God. except the brain for which he's being treated. He'll complete his course of radiation and won't need chemo. His prognosis has now improved.

Thank you again for your prayers. Please keep them coming.
