I just saw this today & am so sorry to hear about Pucci. Sounds like he is on the mend. How fortunate that you were able to get him in for treatment as quickly as you did. I hate the cold/snowy winters in Illinois but don't think I could handle scorpions, etc very well.

Oh Mary Ann. I'm so sorry to hear of Pucci's bite. I pray that he is feeling much better and recovers quickly. I know that you must have been frantic. Please give Pucci woofs and tail wags from Harley, Lily and Chloe.

I too just about had a cardiac when I saw the thread heading!

Glad to read that he appears to be recovering.

Tried to explain to Cody. ... nothing ... Then, when SunFlower told him it was an "evil bug", he understood right away.

See? He knows all about the GloBug ....

I just saw this. That's not good! Neither Pucci nor You need this.

It sounds like he is better today. Let's hope that continues.

Hugs and scritches

Thank you again, my friends. Frantic doesn't even begin to describe my feelings yesterday. I didn't know if Pucci would die. :bawl:

He swiped some of my breakfast as usual, and has indicated he wants lunch now - so I'm relieved so far. Wanting to eat is a good sign.

Mary Ann thank you for the update. Yes, wanting to eat is a good sign. I'm so glad that he is feeling better. I know with him feeling better you can take a deep breath again.

My first thought when I saw this was ANOTHER KIDNEY STONE! Glad it wasn't that, but so very sorry it was a scorpion bite! That must have been so scary for all of you. Thank goodness for Super Jean being on the scene at the right time, great support for you while you are going through this. I'm so happy he's recovering, much faster then his mama, it sounds! Hope you get some much needed sleep tonight, and Pucci pup recovers without any issues at all.

Oh, good grief! I didn't have much computer time last night, so I missed it all. The entire crew from here are sending continuing prayers and good wishes for BOTH of you. For some reason I must have known, because I added an extra prayer for both of you last night. Bandit and Cocoa send get well tail wags and woofs, and Bird Baby sends chirps and whistles for you. I have plenty of bubble wrap for Pucci if you need some!

Just saw this and like some of you, my heart dropped to my feet when I saw the heading. Thank goodness he seems to be okay. Mary Ann, there seems to be a black cloud hanging over your head. Hope this is the END of it. Please keep us updated. Hugs....

Pucci seems rather quiet this morning, and I awoke with him cuddled right next to me instead of him being in his bed next to me. Needless to say, I'm watching carefully. The exterminator is coming early this afternoon.

Thank you all for asking.

As for me, my leg recovery will be long and tedious (daily cleansing/dressing ritual takes about a half hour)...but I'm now hearing of more and more people who have contracted E-Coli in forms other than food contamination. Pucci's Veterinarian's Mother was recently diagnosed with E-Coli in her lungs!!!!!!!! How horrible.

A cautious, "that's good." Not quite behaving as normal, but still making progress. Keep up the progress, little one. We all need you.

I glad to hear that you and Pucci are doing a bit better. I hope that the exterminator kills each and every one of those scorpions. Shame on them for attacking Pucci.
