Poll Question of the Day? What do you think?

This is the only board that I have on my favorites list because I come to it everyday I go online. I find the people are very warm and responsive to others needs. I read just about everything, but don't post much unless I feel I can add something meaningful. I like the set-up of this board and the tone of the vast majority of posters. Thanks for all your hard work. - Bill

I visit here along with CC, Cruisemates and Cruise2. I used to consider this site as "Home", but I can't honestly say that this or any of the sites are really "home" anymore. This is the best site for getting quick and accurate answers but I use CC to get a broader view of some topics when I just want to read thru a section or thread.

I used to post more frequently but got sarcastic responses a couple times from people who misunderstood what I was trying to say, and that cooled me off to the point that I just stick mainly to reading and occasionally posting on factual cruise topics - not the chitchat community stuff. It is too easy to be misunderstood at times on boards and I'm not checking the sites daily like those in the inner circles of each board.

I peek in at the others once in a while but I read @ddicts posts 3-4 times a day. This is my cruise board home!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cruise critic usually gives me the cruise answers that I'm looking for. But it's nice to come over here and feel warm and fuzzy.

You have some very kind and thoughtful people on this board.

I call cruise@ddicts HOME ! Every now and then I will go and check on cc or
cruisemates, mostly for the cruise line posts. But I am here every day, unless I am sick.

This is home and where I spend the majority of my internet time. Even if I do take a peek at other sites I keep poping back here so I do not miss anything (lol)

Thanks John

I check out the CC board but this is my home. I don't post very often but I'm here every day (except the last 2 weeks), now I'm back. Without a doubt, you guys and gals are the most helpful, caring people.

I used to post on three boards, although C-@ was always my "home base."
Shortly after starting on the three, I dropped one that I didn't find "friendly."
For the past few months, I have limited my p[osting to C-@, but still, occasionally, "lurk" on the other.

Boston's J

Well that is an easy answer for me. I used to post on another board because there were some truly nice people there, but always considered @ddicts my home since finding it almost a year ago now. However, some newbies spoiled that for me and I decided that I couldn't be part of any Board where basic human courtesies played second to individuals with huge egos and nasty tongues. So I don't even lurk anymore. Thanks John for giving us a nice friendly home.

Wow! this topic it doing great. I just came home and checked it out. got a few things to say...
Marti... we are ALL learning about cruising, you learn something on every cruise you go on. :grin so don't be shy... jump in.
Margie, you are part of this board, as is everyone that posts here.
Burbunny... hop right it... this place is turning into a regular "Rabbit warren" :lol
Bob R... glad to see you posting again.
I can only speak for me, but it makes me feel good to see all the new posters.

I mostly lurk now, but still don't miss a day so 'Yes, this is home'. John, thanks for providing a place and atmosphere that draws the nicest, most generous people, and for allowing all the graphics that give posters a visible identity. Thanks to all you regulars that post the regular features, help with posting or computer problems, and work behind the scenes.

When I need a laugh I know I'll find it here with several of you posting jokes; for entertainment there's Scott's Eyecercise and the big target he provides with his groaners--the responses to those are hilarious. Where else can you go to find a solution to almost any problem on any subject, hints for cruise or land visits to anywhere, information on breaking news and weather, etc. etc. etc. Most important is the love that can be felt when a regular or a newbie is having a difficult time or on a happier note, wants to share a celebration.

As Toto might say, 'There's no place like home'.

Cruise @ddicts is Home to me. I also check other boards once in a while if I have nothing better to do (which isn't very often). Checked fodors.com for the first time this week also----like you guys said, what a hoot!

I don't go through a day without checking this board and I seldom look at the other boards.

I find this site to be the most enjoyable to read. We do check out the other sites to see what is happening... but not as nice as here. Even met some nice people from here on the last cruise!

Just got in from work and Home is where the Heart is and there is no question but that is Cruise Addicts. Can't and don't want to do without it. Don't get a chance to post much due to work hours and obligations but read it every morning and evening.

I go to other sites and enjoy them too. I must say though I find this site fun, enjoyable but sometimes a bit too clicky. There is definitely an inside crowd here and hard to break into it. I keep coming back though. JMO

In the beginning, I lurked here and posted regularly at CC. But since getting a little singed around the edges over there, and being invited to check out C@, I call this board HOME! I still post on a limited basis on CC, but I never go a day without checking in at C@ several times. I've made some wonderful friends here and the tone of the board is truly like a family. Thanks John!

A few months ago, I would have said that this is my HOME, but I don't have a home right now. I've started lurking a lttle more on the 3 other boards mentioned in posts above.

For me, the Jury is still out.
