Checking in quickly. I'm home. What a Guardian Angel Jean is.
I let Pucci watch me dress my knee this morning. He sat quietly, looked, and at the first opportunity, tried to jump on my knees. So much for "show and tell".
Yesterday was a LONG and tiring day for me - and, I know, for poor Jean. We dropped Pucci off for grooming, then I went to the hairdresser. After that, Jean took me to the cemetery to visit my parents and she, her husband. Yesterday was my Mother's birthday and, also, the day she died. We stopped at a gas station and I filled up the tank in Jean's SUV. Then, we went to pick up a pair of glasses I had ordered, stopped in at church at my request, picked up Pucci, stopped to pick up one of my prescriptions that was ready, and limped back to Jean's house. We both were exhausted.
So now, I'm in the office again.
:thankyou::thankyou::thankyou: to those who have been kind enough to respond here, email me, call me. You are dear to me!
Mary Ann....so glad to hear you are in your own home again...just remember to take care of you and not overdo stuff!! We need you to heal!!!! Yesterday to overdid it...don't have another day like that for quite awhile!!!
The little furry men send their "Feel Better Soon" wishes as do Murray and I! We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Hugs!!!
Seriously Mary Ann...when my son had his knee surgery, the ortho. surgeon said that he would make a special brace for him. This is what he uses when he's wake-boarding or snow-boarding. It's not a big thing, it's very light-weight, slim and plastic. When worn, it protects and stabilizes the knee. It was covered by his insurance too.
You may want to consider this. It can be worn under slacks and no one would even know you had it on.
Patty - great suggestion. Thank you. I'll run it by my Orthopedic Surgeon when I see her on Tuesday.
My problem is that anything around my knee doesn't stay there - it keeps slipping down my leg no matter how tightly it's fastened. The knee immobilizer placed on my knee after my big flop wouldn't stay put!
