I just heard from her DH, who apologized for not calling me sooner. Angela came out of surgery at 11am, and she's fine.

Both of her hips were bad from all her chemo, and both have now been replaced. Her legs are not the same length, because the doctor wanted her to favor her stronger leg. She won't be happy, but she'll get used to 1 millimeter, as the doctor says is the only difference.

But this is really going to tee her off... her DH took her phone and laptop away from her! EEK! She going to be soooo angry when she fully wakes up and finds out! I warned him, he knows, hopefully in a few days he'll give it back. He wants her to rest, I told him she needs to talk to girlfriends who love her, so that she gets that healing love flowing to her!

Thanks for your prayers. I think I needed them the most, though her hubby might be the one needing them now!

Actually, I spoke with her hubby today, and she's in 100% more pain this hip than the last hip replacement, because this leg has feeling... now she knows what she missed last time! Ouch...

Sometimes it is good to feel things. Hopefully they will be able to manage her pain and she will have an uneventful recovery.

When I spoke to her yesterday she was slurring her words so much the entire conversation sounded like one word. Which is really funny, because not only is Angela extremely articulate, but she is also a non stop talker. Drugs just don't stop that woman!
