The sun is rising and so too must we. Have a great day whatever you do.
Up early today...Our dear daughter (who is staying with us, temporarily due to the fire) got called to do a 3-day trip. She got home real late last night from a 3-day Amsterdam, about six hours sleep and off she goes again!
Needless to say, she was not happy. So I was on the receiving end of some choice words about her employer. Then off she goes into the "wild blue yonder"....
And I'm off to church, and running with my sisters today
Wow BJ, I remember that photo (well I had taken one just like that when I was in Golden).
I am going to take my granddaughter to see the Harry Potter movie. She didn't forget something that was said 2 weeks ago and Mimi can't not do it! Then I am taking my mother out somewhere to get her out of the house fix.
Everyone have a great day!
The sunrises here in Golden are just fantastic. And I love going out in my pj's early in the morning to capture these right from my front deck. I forgot you were right down the street ewheelock and I didn't even know it. sigggggggg come back next summer! Cruise Cutie and hubby are coming back and we can have a big bash!
=love..OH Mark, and I had a bet who took that photo..... I said Judy,, he said Michael!! .. it was you Sweet Sistah Judy!!.. sigh.. it'a WAHHHHHHHHH we have to wait till next July for our home visit.. oh well..
I had a BEEP of a week, it just was.. and so sad to say..it was wonderful having the week in Colorado.. but this week at work ..it took the cake, the frosting, and the platter too!!..and knocked the stuffing right outta me.. 52 hours in 4 days..:dizzy..love the $$ but OY..
I had a family member get tossed into a tougher week than me.. and got compounded with me losing my grip ..and I only flip out, and off every few years.. my kids, and Dear husband know to head for the hills and duck for incoming.. and Mark did.. =eek.. he may be a foot taller, and a hundred pounds heavier..but the Italian from Sicily in me is not to be believed.. .. not a good trait..I then make amends in myself and swear not to cork off like that again.. and for years it works till next time..Bad Girl Joanne... but Whoooeee he went to the furthest corner of the house till my temper had settled...
Funny thing is.. about 10 minutes after I literally can peel skin off a longshoreman , and make even my Dear Poppa who has been known to make a railroader back down..silent.. I have a serenity and calmness invade me.. BUT when my loved ones are threatened.. I become this nasty Virago.. sigh.. Oh well.I have to make mass atonement now.time to hit Father up for a visit at Mass......and Yom Kippur was yesterday!! for my Dear Hebrew friends.. so I slept hard, and fast.. and am back to my usual sunshiny self..=lolgang...
I have bacon sizzling, eggs to fry for my Sweet Hubby, and diet toast.. take care all.. enjoy your day..:daisy..Joanne
LOL Joanne Mike loves his cameras and taking photos but he likes his sleep ins while I wander around in the dark at 5am and watch the sun rise from the deck! Now that the sun rises later that was about 6:30am the shots are just spectacular especially with a little cloud cover.
Next year with some vacation time on the books for me, you and Mark will just have to join me on the deck for coffee with Baileys it is a peaceful time for me and that we all need with our crazy work lives and the stresses we live with.:girly
Judy - Did you say coffee with bailey's in it? Yummmmmmm - yes please!
It's almost afternoon here so I am late as usual. Didn't sleep much last night and am paying the piper here today. It's a beautiful day though - sunshine and warm. I am heading out onto my deck to look at the waves for awhile.
Yesterday I had a scare - I passed out. I do this alot since my surgery and my doctor says it's nothing to worry about - just to take it easy getting up and down and to eat something (I don't eat much). I am taking it very slowly today and I have a heck of a bruise from hitting the door jam on the way down.
I would love to see Colorado some day. It's on my list of places to see in America. I love your picture of the sunrise Judy!
Joanne - I am Irish and can relate to the temper thing. My daughter used to complain that I yelled when I was angry - now she understands. I don't do it often either but when I do look out. Hang in there - I am sure that coming back off of vacation and working so hard didn't help things.
I hope everyone has a great day!
Meg be careful please. And do take care of yourself.
If you are feeling better next summer we could call the Golden mini-meet the East Coast invasion and you could fly in. Then we can all drive Mike totally bonkers with our New England accents! :grin
BJ, I would love to come to a mini meet in Golden. I just loved Colorado and Utah. I will just try and save my money.
You're so lucky to have such a great view from your home. We definitely do NOT have that kind of a view when we look out of our kitchen window
Judy - You are on! I would love to invade CO but sadly I do not have an accent - I can mimic one for Mike though if you would like. =lolgang
I don't have one either Meg but Mike thinks I do. :lol :lol And about every person I meet at work too!
Get well and if enough want to come I bet we can pull something off. I just happen to know someone who is a whiz in the kitchen who can make two pies with a single twitch of her nose and cheese cakes to die for.
And I'll even negotiate for group hotel rates if we have enough people! Mark you calendars for late Judy Early August we will dial this in.
So I have to fly out to Colorado to meet you friends??
I have this pass, and I can fly just about anywhere for free...so let me think about this...
In addition, I may have a son living there next year...it's a long story.
What comes "AFTER" Sunday ?
What a night! I'm sooo darn exhaused today cuz this little yippy dog in our neighborhood barked from 10:45PM until well after 2 AM, then started up again at 3 AM. GRRRRRR The neighbors have turned the owners in to animal control and they received a formal letter to keep that dog under control. Now we all document when and for how long it yips. Sure hope they figure out real soon that this will not be tolerated.
Still enjoying the intermittent rainy/overcast cooler weather here in San Jose. By the time everyone packs away their summer stuff that forcasted 85 degree weather should be back next week and we'll be taking those winter quilts off our beds again.
:couple to Globug and Hucc ~ good luck. And of course I'm especially praying for Elliott as he struggles in ICU.
