Just booked the Shearton Old San Juan through Priceline for a cruise In April. Does Celebrity use the pier close to the Old Sheraton San Juan hotel or the other one? I know Carnival uses the one close to the hotel, hoping that Celebrity does also. Thanks !:thumb

In my experience the Old San Juan pier is the one that they use for cruises that originate or terminate in San Juan. The Pan Am pier is used mainly for ships coming from some place else and just stopping in San Juan. Having said that we have been on cruises out of Miami and stopped at both piers. Not sure if there is a hard and fast rule about which ships go where.

    =funsign on your cruise.

On our December 14, 2008 sailing on the cruise ship Celebrity Solstice we dock directly in front of the Sheraton Hotel.

Celebrity and Royal have their own dock on the other side of the bay at the Pan Am Pier. It is a $10 to $15 cab ride plus luggage

    Hello Bikevegas:

We sailed on the Celebrity Galaxy originating out of San Juan from the pan Am Pier across the harbour from Old San Juan. Any time we sailed into San Juan as a stop we docked downtown Old San Juan in front of the Sheratin. It is possible some other ships or lines may originate out of Old San Juan. We are on the Galaxy again March 2nd/09 and will embark at the Pan Am Pier. I don't know if this has been any help but have a wonderful cruise.
