Hey everyone! This is Kitten's daughter, Trish, with a quick question. My poor mum needed my help swapping over her signature over to the new forum board. I was able to get her counter to work and show up, but not her kitten. I first tried copying and pasting the string for kitten, that didn't work. Then I tried typing in the string manually, still didn't work. The HTML string from the old board is still the same as the one I tried for the new board. If anyone can help me get my mom's kitten to show up, her and I would be very appreciative =].

Copy the URL of the image in the code.

It will start with http://www... and then take that code and enter it where it asks for it in adding images to your signature.

I see I'm going to have to get Suer a bit drunk on the Sea Princess, so she'll help me with my signature. I've tried to copy and paste it. I can't put the info in the www. window John suggests, it's illegal to do that. I can see it in the preview window, but it doesn't show up in any of my posts. Maybe I'm tired. Yeah, that's it, I'll see what tomorrow holds. New surprises, I'm sure.

Hey Trish. Maybe I can assist, but remember, I'm certainly no expert. When I edited my signature, it would not accept the old HTML codes as before, but with VERY little editing, it will work. If Kitten's previous HTML code used <img src= to begin the thread and > to end it, all you have to do is replace those with (remove space between g and ], and on the back end use the code . Again, remove the space. When I did that, mine showed up without a problem. hope that helps you and others!

Trish again. I tried copying the code into where it asks for adding images to the signature and it came back with "Invalid URL."

Tobyn here again, using Bread's profile to respond after updating hers. Good way to check my work! It wouldn't accept mine either. I went in to the old control panel, copied the code as it was listed, then changed the [IMG]

Back to my old self! Okay, what I should have mentioned is that since it wouldn't accept the URL as in John's post, I just copied the text from the old signature area, then pasted into the new signature area and edited the opening and closing of the img codes. Did that help? Had both signature area's open on two separate tabs . . . .

Test...I took my signature and countdown clocks from the old site and pasted them into Edit Signature. Then did a preview signature, it shows correct, but is it showing on an actual thread now?

Edited to say...Why, yes it is!!

OK, can you please fix this signature? It looks OK to me as per Tobyn's instructions:

    from Vancouver, BC, Canada
    [img src=http://addictscay.com/img.php?image=tango55.gif>&nbsp

The countdown clock worked fine, it's just the gif that won't work.

    Thanks, Terry

    Take this out:

    [img src=http

    And replace it with this:

    http

Tango, on the end of the thread, you need to "close" the instructions with [/img] after the .gif. Remove the >&nbsp. That should fix it.

I got mine working fine and I've logged in as Korina at her request and edited her's correctly, it shows up in the preview box but not in any posts...I checked all the setting and I can't figure out why it isn't showing up in threads but does in her User CP edit signature preview box....any suggestions?

Denise, have her (or you) make a new post and see if it will show up in that post. For some reason they are not showing up in older posts.(lets not go there)

denise, has she made a new post since you changed it ? this does not change all posts as the old way did, but only applies to new ones.
