I'm glad to hear that you are back home again, Mary Ann!
Let's hope for a quick recovery.
So sad that you had to cancel your July cruise, but as many already have said; your health is more important.
Take care of the leg and rest!

I'm so happy to hear that you are well enough to be at home, even with severe restrictions on your activity. There's no place like home, and the Pucci love will go a long way towards speeding your recovery. Take care, and welcome home.

This is such great news! All of us have been so concerned. Now you and Pucci can get back to life, even with some cautions. That really was a nasty infection.......glad they now have it under control.

I will reiterate what others have said "Welcome Home". It's bad enough to have had to cancel one cruise, but now another. I know how disappointed you must be. However, there will be many more wonderful cruises to sail away on. The most important thing is your health. Thankfully, your leg is healing. My continued prayers for a complete healing of your wound.

Thank you, my Friends. I am paying very close attention to Doctor's orders - BORING. But I know my Doctor is insisting on bed rest and keeping my legs elevated because I have a tendency to sit at the computer working from morning till night. I'm not doing that for now.

A visiting Nurse came yesterday to check/dress the wound and check the picc line. Since my housekeeper was here. I asked her to take Pucci out of the room while the Nurse checked the wound. WRONG thing to do. Poor Pucci went absolutely ballistic trying to get back to me - he was crying, barking, clawing at the door, panting. It took over an hour for him to stop panting after I let him come running back to me. He followed directions perfectly when I corrected him from heading to my left side.

Again, thank you for your concern and prayers. Much appreciated. xoxo

Thanks for the update Mary Ann. Poor Pucci, he was just trying to protect you. Animals know when something is wrong.

    Prayers your way.

    Hugs Evie

Oh, Shipmaven - I am so sorry that you hurt your leg like this. I too did not know you can get e-coli in a wound. Please take care and let me know if I need to fly out there and help you. I have time on my hands.

Mary Ann - we are back home in MN now and I am happy to read that you are at home and recovering. I, too, am sorry to read that you are missing cruises due to this incident. May your recovery be quick and may you be back on your feet in no time.
