I know that this has been debated several times on this board as to whether or not to tip room service on Princess now that guantuaties are automatically billed to your ship board account. But I wanted to bring this subject up again and try to get a general consenus on it.

    Any opinions?

I always tip the room service personnel. I don't believe they are included in the automatic tipping like your waiter and room steward.

I definitely tip room service waiters. Like Deb, I've been told they're not part of the auto tip pool.

    Thanks Amber and Deb!

Ok another question on this topic, what do you generally tip? $1 or more?

I believe the going rate is about $1 - $2. When we did room service breakfast on the Golden, I tipped $2.00! From a previous thread, I believe the following was suggested: $1 for snacks/drinks and $2 for a meal.

We tipped a few dollars, depending on what was ordered.
