Received a call from the lymphoma dr a while ago. The surgeon talked to her about the abnormal cells but none are testing as cancer; she agreed that we had tried hard enough to get a good biopsy so we shall stop for now. She said she was afraid this might be an aggressive form of lymphoma but she is now confident that it is not lymphoma. There is a possibility it could be some other slow growing cancer so they will monitor it closely every few months. Surgeon told her he was afraid if we continue to go into the spine that 1 of the procedures will lead to additional problems as the spine is in such a fragile condition. She said they had to first eliminate the cancer but will now focus, for the time being, on attempting to get some relief from the pain in the lower spine. Although we still have no answer as to what IS in the spine, we are happy to push the cancer business to the back burner for a little while. Kind of feel like we have had a weight lifted off of us for a little while at least & ready to get back to living life again. We've made it thru another hurdle in our roller coaster ride but as I sit here I wonder how young Elliott is doing. Hoping to hear some positive news about him soon.
