Does anybody know if there is a service on board to renew wedding vows? I've heard of people getting married on cruises, but I've checked the website for Celebrity Century, and found nothing there regarding something like this.

The Century does not have a chapel, therefore, I believe this service would not be available on board. Carnival Pride & Legend and Princess Grand & Golden have chapels on board and I know do have renewal services and departments that would handle these arrangements. Times are limited, so start investigating as soon as possible. We absolutely loved the 2 new Carnival ships. As avid Celebirty cruisers, the Carnival product is becoming much more like what we have become to love about cruising on Celebrity.

Thank you so much for the reply. I'm booked on the Century, and had hoped I'd be able to set something up for renewal of vows, as we will celebrate our anniversary when cruising. I suppose no luck there.

There isn't a chapel but there are other beautiful areas of the ship. I would write a note, e-mail to Celebrity and let them know of your future plans. I'm sure they would not hesitate to arrange something. Give it a try and let us all know.

I am also planning a wedding for my Celebrity cruise. If you search the Celebrity website for weddings it brings up a page about a destination wedding planning service "A Wedding for You" that Celebrity uses. Their website is http://aweddingforyou.com and they seem to book on board and at port weddings. Good luck.

A wedding for you is the best way to go. That company has the contract to arrange weddings for many of the cruise lines. If you are planning to contact Karen at karen@aweddingforyou.com or you can call toll free 866-832-7847. I met them in Jan 2001 on the Century she and her husband just happened to be on board and in the matter of less than 12 hours (because they know all the laws and the contacts) we able to get our friend married in Key west. You talk about service, she was on vacation. They are based in Ft Lauderdale and also operate a travel agency. They will answer the phone Cruise Planners, but you have the right place. Since then I have boojked 4 cruises with her and talk to her regularly and is a wonderful person and has done great things for me and my friends I have sent her way. If you call let her know Rick Pierce sent you. If she is not there, ask for Mark ( her husband) of even Elennor can help you. Her company is much more than the people I have mentioned as I have run into A Wedding for You on other cruises and she serves all lines from all ports. Have fun.
