When a cruise ship stays overnight in a port ...

I agree, neat story Kentski. I wish cruise lines spent at least one night at a port. The only time we ever left late was at 2 am from New Orleans. We arrived at the port at 11 am, checked in, dropped our stuff in our cabins and then went to the museum downtown and then hit the Quarter.

Sounds fantastic, bOB. I'm sure Cruizer will enjoy himself and post a detailed report with photos.

Re: When a cruise ship stays overnight in a port ...Not allowed in Cabo San Lucas

The Carnival Spirit stays one night in Cabo San Lucas but since there isn't a port and the cruisers have to use tender boats.... WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SPEND THE NIGHT IN CABO. The ship has a set time to return to the ship.

The ship then goes cruising around the ocean and the Casino and stores are opened again for the night.

If someone decides to spend the night in Cabo and a sudden storm shows up in Cabo.... the ship will haul hinney and get out of the harbor area and go out to sea and not return for the cruisers who disobeyed the rules.

I remember a few years ago we were supposed to stay in port over-night in Alcapulco but the tide got really low so the ship decided to leave the port. I was in the NCL Star ship. "Nervous Nelly"

Glo - I would take a ride in that car just any old time. What a beauty. And a good year if I may say so myself.
