When is The Best Time to Book a Cruise?? RIGHT NOW!!

People are always asking me when is the best time to book a cruise. My standard answer is always the same; as soon as possible.

If you book early, you may very well get the best rate offered. If the rates go up, you're protected (unless of course the taxes change or a fuel supplement is added). If the rates go down, almost always we can get the lower rate for you, unless it's after final payment due date or if it's 'for new bookings only'.

But if you book early, you get your choice of the best available cabins. This is especially important if you're booking during a high travel time, such as Christmas or Spring Break. It's also important to book early if you want a specialty cabin, like a quad (cabin for 4), connecting cabins, a suite, a handicapped cabin, or perhaps a cabin with a larger balcony. These types always tend to sell out early. If you wait to book, you may not be able to get these cabins, plus the price may have gone up not only on the cabin, but also airfare usually goes up the closer to departure date you get.

Of course, if you're flexible, don't care about cabin type or location, and don't have to worry about airfare, then sometimes you can get a good deal on a last minute cruise.

But if you're thinking about a cruise and haven't made the leap yet, right now is a very good time to book! It's National Cruise Week and all the cruise lines are offering some good deals to entice you!
