We are cruising April 8-12 and will go to Key West and Cozumel. Which port should we try to do snorkeling? We wanted to do BOB underwater adventure, but apparently Key West no longer offers it. If we snorkel in Cozumel instead, do you recommend the chankanaab Park or the Catch the Wave Snorkel Safari (or somewhere else)? Thanks for all input.

We did the Fury Catamaran in Cozumel. The snorkeling was good, we also stopped at a beach for about an hour, and had free flowing Mexican beer, and Margeritas. It was a great time.

Mayan Paradise Tours offers a great snorkeling and snuba trip in Cozumel. It's on a catamaran like the Fury, but you don't visit a beach. They take you to 3 different reefs where you can snorkel or snuba. They offer snacks and an open bar on board. The crew is a lot of fun. It's a great trip. If you are interested, you can find out more on their website at http://www.snubacozumel.com.

Chankanaab is gonna be cheaper but not quite as good as the offshore snorkelling, depends on your budget. Chankanaab is $5 each way cab and $12 p/p entry. A boat based excursion is gonna be at least double that.
