Got my review posted. I forget to mention the disembark. not much to tell as we took the express checkout and had our own transport take us to the airport. We used VIP transport that I had arranged in advance for all our transfers. worked out great! Anything else you want to know just let me know.

Thanks for posting your review of the Wind. The article is very informative and provides me with a greater sense of what to expect. I'd be curious to know what was it that caused you to give the food a C rating.

Also, would you be able to explain more of how the freestyle dining works for the evenings?

Thank you for including the laundry info, too. I'm guessing that only one bag is provided per cabin for the special, huh? ;)

One more thing: you mentioned using VIP transport. Where do I get information about arranging that in advance, too?

I rated the food a C because some of it was not very good. It seemed to very. The good thing was there was always something else to eat if what I ordered wasn't good. The appitizers and deserts were very good in the main dining as were several of the main dishes I ate. The buffet deserts were not very good. The good thing is you can eat anywhere and go to the dining room to get desert! Freestyle is eating at 2 main dining rooms whenever you want when they are open. If you go when they open the you can ask for table by the window. They have a lot of tables for 2 so we never had to share a table. We always ate early but I never saw much of a line. I think the terraces was the nicest but the 4 seasons serves the same food. They have 2 other dining rooms one the Bistro that has a cover charge and the other on the 11th (back of ship) terraccito (something like that) no cover charge but you need to make a reservation. We ate most of our breakfasts in the buffet where they make omlets and waffles fresh. Those were great!:)P) You can also get pizza and snacks all night. They also have room service no charge.

You do know about the automatic $10 per day per guest to cover tips?


As for the laundry bags they left 2.

VIP Transport 1-866-836-0317. You need to book ahead and I noticed we were charged as soon as we booked. Their service was good and reliable.

Yes, I do know about the $10 per day per guest gratuity. Not a problem. I've got that covered, too.

I hope you enjoy this cruise. We had a great time. I think it was a good bargin for the money. I've only been on 1 other cruise to Alaska but we plan to take many more cruises. You'll be there when the whales are around. Hope you see lots of them!;) We looked at many cruises before we picked this one and in spite of reading some bad reviews we decided to go. I also read many good ones. We brought books to read on sea days.
