Ha!! Now I got your attention.
To be perfectly honest I have never been on any cruise before. I sail on the Glory on March 6th, 2004, and I am VERY VERY excitied. I am going with a couple buddies of mine all in their mid 20's. I would really appreciate some feedback on a couple of questions I have.

Are the nightlife/bars on the ship fun for someone in their mid 20's?
What excursions on the Eastern Caribbean trip would you recommend for a very adventurous passenger?
Are there any activities on the ship that are a "Do Not Miss" for someone in there 20's?

    Thanks for your help,

You did get my attention, and don't totally trash the Glory, because we'll be on her March 20. I think you will have fun, so don't worry.

You guys will have a terrible time. Nobody has any fun on cruises. Most go because they like being seasick. These is nothing but crotchy old farts like me on board. The music is all violins and harps. The bars all close around 9 o'clock. But they don't serve alcohol anyway. You will be hungry all the time. And there are rarely any single people on a ship, except the guys in the engine room. Oh, the horror of it all.

Dan is soooo correct in everything he said...and THAT is why you should seriously think about handing your tickets over to him, myself and snowball....it's just not going to be much fun for you.....

Dan, I couldn't agree with you more. You've hit the nail right smack on the head with your description of cruise life.

I also agree with MS QUEEN, that you should give away your cruise tickets (I'll be more than happy to take them off your hands) and spare yourself the agony and disappointment!

  7. Miko-

Keep the rooms and bed sheets clean. I'm sailing out on the 13th.

Oh to be 20 on a cruise!!!!!! 70 is so great ...can you imagine 20??? Just boggles my mind...I mean...when I get on the banana boat; parasailing and cave tubing...I am a bit slow...just think what I could do at 20!!!! When I finally give up the night scene after 1 am...I am so envious of the young ones who are still cannoodling.....and the casino chips I take back to the safe in the room just sometimes get to be a burden...but, then I know that the breakfast in my room on the balcony will be a great way to start my day.
Yeah...it is so incredibly boring....I sit and plot continually how to get on the next cruise and try to decide ...do I want to swim with sharks, scuba dive or go Mayan climbing.....as I sip my Jamaican Rum drink (I now have a whole wall of umbrellas!)

Miko, as everyone has said, you will be fine. There will be a lot of other youngsters your age to mix with. Just please try not to get in the way of my walker and cane. Do you know how hard it is to dance with that darn walker? I may be 65, but, I can still keep up with you guys. Enjoy!!!
