Good news for us folk that live in SC, the election is over. No more phone calls, the end to junk election stuff in our mail boxes, and best of all -- I can listen to the raido/watch TV without be deluged with political advertisements. Just my 2 cents........

I still believe that every political candidate be given a five dollar bill and told to make the best use of it as their only campaign fund. Why in the world spend millions of dollars telling everyone how fantastic you are, when the money could be used to feed needy people? Just my humble opinion, of course.

Somehow, I have a sneaking suspicion that it won't end on November 6th. No matter who wins, we'll all be the loosers until the counts, re-counts, re-re-counts and all the court battles are over (if they ever will be) ...

We always do absentee balloting, even when we are home. Our phone rings non stop with calls during election years. I love our new phone system we have now, hopefully it helps. We'll see...

Nieciez, glad it is over for you for now. We went thru this recently with the Iowa caucus next door to us. It's going to be a very long summer & fall.

I too wish we could get the big money out of politics. Give everybody X amount of dollars to spend & a limited amount of time for campainging. We don't need to listen to all of this for 12-18 months before an election. Throw in a COUPLE of good debates & perhaps 1 good interview with each candidate giving his position then vote & be done with it. Your serious voter that is aware of the issues does not need months & months of negative ads or 50 debates to make up their mind on who they believe the best candidate is.

I too am fed up with all this hoopla and CRAP. I have gotten ome of the calls what I hate is when the recording comes on hold for a important message-I spent my entire life working for Govt. I am not sure it is even usful to vote anymore. . So much corruption!!!

If you take all money that is spent campaging (both parties) and put it towards the national debt we would be close to being debt free. It makes me sick all the money wasted. Our primary isn't until May and by then we never have a choice who we want. Primaries should be the same day for all states in January. TAke the top three and let them campaign for three months then have a final election the end of March. That way it would be fare for all states.

I couldn't agree more with everything that's been said above - and, so far, there isn't a single candidate I feel I can vote for. Disgusting, isn't it?!?
