Mal D. Olive

[size=medium]A passenger in a taxi leaned over to ask the driver a
question and tapped him on the shoulder. The driver
screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb, and stopped just inches from a large plate glass window.

For a few moments everything was silent in the cab, and then the still shaking driver said, 'I'm sorry, but you scared the daylights out of me.'

The frightened passenger apologized to the driver and
said he didn't realize a mere tap on the shoulder could
frighten him so much.

The driver replied, 'No, no, I'm sorry, it's entirely my fault. Today is my first day driving a cab.................. I've been driving a hearse for the last 25 years!!!

Ha ha.

When I was 17 I had a friend who worked in a mortuary at night, answering the phones. Two memorable memories...

Once he was sitting at his desk, and suddenly one of the shrouded bodies behind him sat straight up! Scared the holy spit out of him!

Another time, he was sitting at his desk, and heard organ music! He would often hang out in his skivvies if it was hot, and would sometimes take his dog to work with him. This evening he did both. He grabbed his dog (alas, not his pants) and went looking for the source of the organ music. As he got closer to a particular room, the music got louder. He burst into the room... in his boxers and with his dog... only to be surrounded by a group of nuns there for a goodbye to one of their own. Alex was 19, 6'4" with shoulder length hair. I can only imagine the picture he made. It still makes me laugh.

Funny reminds of time I lived at a funeral home , I used the shower in the garage always afraid they would have a call when I was in there.

Reminds me of the time Mal and I took a cab in Ft Lauderdale............................

Don't worry we gave it back.
