Well - sit back and relax. You'll see LOTS of pics taken under different viewing conditions, but starting out with my room. I absolutely adored Lake Louise. I hope you will enjoy the photos!

This was my room - I received a complimentary upgrade. According to the Staff, this room on each floor has the absolute best views, about a 270 degree panorama.

Special chocolates (that I didn't eat) compliments of the General Manager. I loved the water bottle so much that I brought it home with me!!!

And the final note of endearment, many Fairmont properties have a greeter dog. Chateau Lake Louise is one of them...and here is the friendly pooch...

I hope the photos didn't bore you. As you can readily guess, I was enchanted with the place, and happy I took two days for myself prior to our conference. We were too busy in Banff for me to take photos there.

Well, I guess next you are going to tell us that you were working! :)

Of course the best pic was the last one!

Thanks you for taking the time to share these.

Charles - in Lake Louise, I was working at enjoying myself and marvelling at its beauty. It had a very personal meaning for me. My late parents, Mom in particular, always spoke of going to Chateau Lake Louise. For one reason or another, they never did so. I raised a toast to them - they finally visited Lake Louise with me in my heart.

The dog seemed as gentle as Pucci. I learned the morning I left that guests could sign up to take the dog for a walk! :duh: I wish I had known beforehand!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, MrD. Actually, the pooch had just finished a walk and a gazillion photo shoots from a Japanese tour group. Perhaps this was more indicative of his mood...

Thank you flr share Mary ann. My mother loved it at Lake Louise so think it was the highlight of her last motor trip to Alaska. She and dad went to the motor home place to buy a motor home so they could stay longer but backed out at last minute.

That looks beautiful Mary Ann. Thanks for sharing with us. I'm always happy to find a little furbaby I can give some scritches to when we are on vacation. Helps me miss Zsa Zsa a little less.

Oh my goodness Mary Ann....do you think the dog at Lake Louise has come west to ski this winter???? This was the Greeter at the Fairmont Algonquin at St. Andrews by the Sea in New Brunswick when we were there in September. My little sunshine just loved "Smudge"(eeeeee)
