What a way to inaugurate a ship! The newest vessel in our fleet, Celebrity EclipseSM, had a unique and very special launch ceremony. Her initial promotional cruise was cancelled so she could help thousands of stranded travelers by bringing them home to England from Spain when airports closed due to the volcano. Emma Pontin was a sophisticated and inspirational ships Godmother. An ocean-racing yachtswoman and breast cancer survivor, she also brought recognition to the fight against breast cancer. What more could we ask? The champagne bottle even broke on cue. Celebrity Eclipse is off to a superb start!
