The Royal Caribbean cruise ship, 'Monarch of the Seas', has been credited with rescuing six people floating in a raft in the Atlantic Ocean.
The rescued party is believed to be a group of refugees from Cuba. Officials also believe the group had been floating for about 15 days, but have no way to know exactly how long they had been adrift.
A passenger spotted the raft near Freeport, located on Grand Bahama Island, and the ship began rescue operations to retrieve the raft and its occupants.
The Monarch of the Seas returned to Port Canaveral, Fla., this morning, but law enforcement officials took the group off the ship to be questioned before the ship docked.
If it is deemed that the six individuals are indeed from Cuba, they will be returned to their country.
