River Cruise Ships Recognized for Excellence
LOS ANGELES -- Conde Nast Traveler, the leading travel publication for truth in travel, recently released its "Top-80 Cruise Ships In The World" list, recognizing five ships from the Viking River Cruises fleet in the small ships category. This year, Viking Sky, Viking Century Sky, Viking Europe, Viking Spirit and Viking Burgundy ships were rated by subscribers of the magazine.
Each year, Conde Nast Traveler subscribers are invited to rate cruise ships on a 100-point scale. Ships are judged on seven criteria, including: itineraries, shore excursions, crew/service, cabins, food/dining, activities/facilities, and design/layout. Both Viking Sky and Viking Century Sky received the highest marks possible for itineraries and shore excursions in the magazine's annual reader's poll. In addition to the inclusion in the top cruise ship list, earlier this year; Viking River Cruises was featured on the coveted Conde Nast Traveler Gold List.
