SEATTLE, April 12  -- The small-ship cruise line Cruise West, with more than 60 years experience in Alaska, will be adding even more opportunities to explore the vast region for the 2007 season. Guests will now be able to spend two nights in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, and choose from four new shore excursions added to the extensive list of land adventures.

Cruise West has more permits than any other line to enter the 3.3-million- acre Glacier Bay National Park. This year, Cruise West guests can extend their stay in the park to two nights on the Wilderness Inside Passage itinerary. During this added time, guests will explore the wildlife and sights of this region with the guidance of a National Park Ranger and Native Cultural Interpreter. Cruise West will also offer more departures on this itinerary with two ships rather than one, via the Spirit of Discovery and Spirit of Endeavour. This itinerary boasts the Whale Sighting Guarantee; should whales not be spotted on a sailing, the line will refund $250 to each guest -- a price that they have never had to pay.

In addition to the included activity or excursion in all ports that Cruise West's seven Alaska-sailing ships visit, guests can choose from an extensive array of add-on adventures. The following excursions are new for 2007:

-- A guided onshore hike through the vast terrain of Glacier Bay National
     Park.
-- A Rainforest Canopy and Zipline Adventure in Juneau, where participants
will glide on 6,000 feet of zip lines, cross the Gastineau Channel,
mountain ascent in an off-road vehicle, and explore a world-famous gold
     mine.
-- A tour of the only public glass blowing studio in Alaska as part of the
Jewell Gardens tour in Skagway, where visitors will have the
opportunity to create their own glass memento.
-- An exclusive tour of the Saxman Village, known for its Totem poles, to
experience the rich culture of Southeast Alaska's Native Americans led
by Native Tlingit and Mayor of Saxman, Joe Williams.

Cruise West travels in Alaska from May through early-September, with three Grand Voyages aboard the flagship, Spirit of Oceanus, four itineraries in Alaska's Inside Passage, and a cruise in Prince William Sound.

-- Up-Close, Casual and Personal Cruising --

Cruise West offers the opportunity to explore remote and distinctive destinations throughout North and Central America, Asia and the South Pacific. Small-ship cruising allows for personalized experiences not offered by larger cruise lines. Guest capacities aboard Cruise West's nine ships range from 78- 138. Guests may expect personal enrichment through onboard narrative and presentations by local experts. The ships' forward lounges and ample outdoor deck space provide outstanding viewing opportunities, and inflatable boats allow for up-close exploration and shore landings.
