Offering 15% Early Booking Discount until August 1, 2007 on Caribbean Sailings
WARREN, R.I. -- American Canadian Caribbean Line, Inc. (ACCL), a Rhode Island-based casual small ship cruise line popular with active mature travelers, announces its 2008 Cruise Schedule.
New for ACCL's 2008 season is the return of Eastern Caribbean cruises to the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands and St. Maarten/Antigua, as well as a 12-night Philadelphia-to-Jacksonville cruise and two five-night New England cruises. ACCL, celebrating its 42nd year of cruising America's historic waterways, is offering a varied collection of 5- to 15-night coastal cruises of the Great Lakes, NY State Canal System, St. Lawrence Seaway, Intracoastal Waterway, Chesapeake Bay, and Coastal New England aboard its 100-passenger M/V Grande Caribe and sister ship, the M/V Grande Mariner.
"We are excited to return to the Eastern Caribbean where we will cruise amongst world-class sail boats and mega-yachts that make this region renown," states Nancy Blount, president of ACCL. "Our guests enjoy the beauty and serenity of pristine areas that are usually only accessible by private yacht. ACCL passengers can go where the big ships cannot."
Four 11-night Eastern Caribbean itineraries are on offer for Winter 2008 that include the Yachtsman's Virgin Islands featuring the many small harbor islands between St. Thomas and Anegada; Treasures of the Leeward Islands between St. Maarten and Antigua; and two Bahamian adventures: Beach Lover's Bahamas and Bahamian Out Islands. ACCL vessels feature an exclusive bow ramp and shallow-draft ship design, ideal for cruising these tropical turquoise waters.
New from ACCL for 2008 is the 12-night East Coast Discovery cruise offering the ever-changing coastal vistas from Philadelphia, PA to Jacksonville, FL. Featured cities include Baltimore, MD; Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA as well as quaint lesser-known seaports.
Also new for 2008 are two 5-night itineraries that explore colonial New England during the popular summer months. Cape Cod and Islands features the charming coastlines of the summer resort areas of Newport, RI, Martha's Vineyard, MA, Nantucket, MA, Plymouth, MA and Provincetown, MA. The Historic New England cruise highlights the many quaint ports from Rhode Island to Maine that are rich in Revolutionary heritage including Salem, MA, Gloucester, MA, Newburyport, MA, Portsmouth, NH, and Portland ME.
True to tradition, ACCL's signature itineraries are back for the 2008 season. These popular cruises include the exclusive 12-night The Classic Adventure: Erie Canal/Saguenay and Erie Canal Fall Foliage itineraries that explore the southern New England Coast, Upstate NY , the St. Lawrence Seaway, and the bustling ports of Montreal and Quebec City. The popular 7-Night Coast of Maine cruise offers harbor-hopping amongst lighthouses, private yachts, and scenic rugged coastlines.
Due to a resurgence of interest in Great Lakes travel, ACCL will operate its M/V Grande Mariner between May and September 2008 out of Chicago, IL. Passengers can choose between the 6-night Lake Michigan Getaway and the impressive 15-night Great American Waterways that travels east-to-west and vice versa between Illinois and Rhode Island via the Erie Canal. The 11-night American Liberty cruise in spring offers the Chesapeake Bay area in full bloom and the opportunity to tour the many historic sites of America's beginnings. Like the birds, passengers can migrate in spring and fall along the Eastern seaboard and the Intracoastal Waterway on the 14-night American Coastal Waterways featuring many charming ports between Jacksonville, Florida and ACCL's historic colonial homeport of Warren, Rhode Island.
ACCL is offering a 15% Early Booking Discount on all 2008 Caribbean itineraries that are booked by August 1, 2007. This offers guests up to $1,138 savings per cabin depending on the choice of cruise. Also on offer for all 2008 itineraries is ACCL's long-standing "Bring Friends" program that offers up to $500 per cabin savings for guests who book 2 cabins at the same time with at least one of the cabin's guests being new to ACCL.
