To Create an Album
FIRST Make sure that you have registered for the Gallery.
If you have not re-registered since the Gallery was re-installed,
then you need to do so now.
You can not create an album without being a registered user.
THEN: After you have logged in to your account
Go to the photo gallery and look on the left where it says: "Add Album"
When you click "Add Album"
the page will instruct you to fill in a name, title etc. How much or little you add here is up to you.
It will ask you for keywords. I suggest that you add some searchable words like the ships name
or your name, or even a couple of the ports, anything that could help someone doing a
search for particular ship or port or just looking for your gallery.
Then click "Create" at the bottom of the page.
A new page will appear with "Edit Album" at the top, and four tabs called:

The settings are all defaulted and can be left as is when originally creating album. If you wish
at a later date you can experiment with the settings to change the look of the gallery if you
wish. Just scroll to the bottom of the page and click "save" and it will show you the same screen
again but say at the top ."Settings saved successfully"
Next click the
Theme tab
Where it says "Rows per album page" I would suggest 10, any more and someone may
have a problem loading up the page.. Too few and you get multiple pages..
People who have it set so that there are 3 or 4 rows end up with 47 pages.
Now this is fine, but most people want to scroll down and do not want to keep clicking to
change a page, so they lose interest about the 4th page.
Where it says "Columns per album page" Do no more that 3 or someone
has to keep scrolling to the side to see the pictures.
How this works?? If you have 3 columns and 4 rows.. then you will only have 12 pictures per page.
If you have 85 photos that will equal out to about 8 pages. If you have 10 rows, you will only have 3 pages.
You will find that the rest of the choices are already checked and do not need to be changed.
remember to click "save" at the bottom of the page.
Your Album Has Now Been Created
Adding Pictures
Click on the General tab again and then look on the left sidebar to where it says: "Add Items". This means
add picture) (items = pictures) this will open a new page where you can upload your pictures.
You will then see the page with " file" "browse" and "Caption" repeated 4 times.
Click on "Browse" and select the photo you want, in "caption" you can type in the brief title you want for this photo.
If you leave the caption blank it will insert the filename of the photo as the title, this can be edited later if you wish.
